Our 2016 Smelter History Exhibition, ‘Causes, Clubs and Concentrates’ has its focus on the 1940s and 1950s. Photographs and memorabilia from this era will be on display at the Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery from Friday 6th May until Saturday 19th June, 2016.
Step back in time with us! Bring your children, your parents, your grand-parents, they will be amazed at the rich, interesting history of Port Pirie and what they didn’t know! The people of Pirie in the 40s and 50s, laid the foundations for today and many local families will be sure to spot relatives from the past.
